$130 Suitable for testing the hearing of children from 9 months of age, if they are typically developing (please contact us if this is not the case). We have the option to use Visual Response Audiometry (the puppet show) or Play Audiometry in our large test booth. Young children are usually tested using speakers. Child are tested under headphones from 3 years of age (for individual ear information). Please, where possible, only bring the child being tested. Our testing room requires silence from everyone attending for accurate results. This is tricky for many littles.

$130 Pure Tone Audiometry is suitable for school-aged children capable of sitting for at least 10-15 minutes with headphones on. Ear pressure testing (tympanometry) and word recognition testing can also be performed on this age group.

$250 This assessment includes a detailed history of your presenting concerns, as well as a full hearing assessment to determine if there are any underlying ear conditions. It is helpful to use strong ear wax drops ONCE the day prior to your appointment (e.g Waxsol). DO NOT USE ear drops if you have ear pain, a perforated ear-drum or very soft/liquid ear wax. A 50% charge is applicable if ear wax removal is not required at your appointment (e.g. if there is no ear wax). PERFORMED AT OUR DEAKIN CLINIC.
