Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), also known as Central Auditory Processing Disorder, is a neurological condition that affects how the brain processes and interprets sounds. Individuals with APD typically have normal hearing ability, but their brains struggle to understand and organise auditory information—especially speech. This can lead to listening difficulties at school, work, and in everyday conversations. Therese uses the latest APD assessment tools and will produce a report and recommendations on completion. PLEASE NOTE, a Comprehensive Hearing Assessment is required prior to this appointment, as a baseline is needed for this specialised testing.
