Adult, Infant and Children Tympanometry/Pressure Test •$70 •Medicare rebate of $15.50 is available with a GP/ENT referral- Results will be sent to the healthcare professional •Tympanometry is a diagnostic test used to assess the function of the middle ear. The test measures how the eardrum responds to changes in air pressure A small probe is inserted into the ear canal. It helps identify: • Normal middle ear function • Middle ear fluid: Fluid in the ear may cause reduced eardrum movement • Eustachian tube dysfunction: Problems with air pressure regulation in the middle ear • Ear drum perforation or damage: Abnormal movement of the eardrum •Tympanometry is quick, non-invasive, and generally painless. It's often done alongside hearing tests to provide a complete picture of ear health
